Sport promoting activities

The First International Polish-Slovak Ski Rally.

The First International Polish-Slovak Ski Rally took place in Rajcza in February 1993. It attracted over thousand participants- amateur skiers.
The agenda included Sejmik (Assembly) of representatives of the central and local governments, among others: M Stycze˝ - Voivode of Bielsko Region, A Iwanek - chairman of the International Association of Polish and Slovak Gminas from Poland and V. Homola - Prednosta of Czadca, dr M. Servatka - advisor of the Slovak Minister of Culture from Slovakia. During the meeting its participants discussed a proposal of the bilateral agreement regarding protection of the environment.

International Bicycle Race for Young Bikers Nowa Ruda-Nachod (1993)

Bicycle Race for Young Bikers, which accompanies the Days of Christian Culture, has become a very popular event. It was it fifth edition. It gathers bikers from Poland and from neighbouring countries in the South and in the East.
Beside its sport related advantages, the race provides opportunity for establishing international contacts and friendships between rivals from various countries.

Developing Independent Media Skills in Eurasia
The fourteenth edition of the "Independent media" program is planned for this year. Nearly 26 journalists from Belarus, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine will be invited to Poland. During study visits, they will have an opportunity to visit the editorial offices of newspapers and magazines, radio and TV stations, internet portals and information agencies. They will acquaint themselves with the work and experiences of their Polish colleagues. The study visits will be tailored to the professions and specializations of the guests.
